Former Monk Sues L’Oréal Over Anti-Aging Cream Technology

Patents based on adenosine are at the heart of the case.

A former monk who now leads the Teresian Carmelites in Millbury, MA has filed a federal lawsuit against L'Oréal. The suit, filed in Delaware, accuses the beauty giant of stealing a patented technology used in an anti-aging wrinkle cream.   Dennis Wyrzykowski and his company, Carmel Laboratories LLC, have been joined in the lawsuit by the University of Massachusetts Medical School, which developed the technology and licensed it to Carmel in 2009, according to a report by the Associated Pre...
